Since 2007, we’ve been switching off our lights for an hour once a year. A symbolic act in the name of climate change. But can we do more and turn awareness into action beyond the Hour?
In 2016, we changed the rally for climate change by urging people to donate one of the strongest currencies they had - their social power. We took over their social feeds with a mix of globally and regionally relevant content in the days leading up to Earth Hour.
An awareness film underscored how individual actions today will collectively shape Earth’s future
The message reached out to 18 million people worldwide in 178 activated countries. #ChangeClimateChange trended in 33 countries with over 14,000 media mentions and 2 million individual actions, marking the movement’s most successful campaign to date.
